electrical I&C design/engineer for our Tempe office who will
work with a competent multi-discipline team of peers with a wide
range of experience levels. This is an exciting opportunity to get
in on the ground floor of a new office serving industry
leaders.Responsibilities:
- Designing electrical systems and preparing construction
documents with varying degrees of complexity, including power,
lighting, and distribution systems as well as heat trace and
semiconductor manufacturing equipment installations.
- Performing I&C design, including specifying instruments
appropriate for the process system and hazardous classification,
creating and updating point management databases, developing
instrument tagging nomenclature, assigning points and identifying
availability in the field, and designing new PLC panels and
networking.
- Designing low voltage systems, including telecommunications,
life safety, and security systems.
- Preparing engineering studies for power and low voltage systems
that survey existing conditions, evaluate capacities, and make
recommendations for corrections and upgrades.
- Coordinating with other engineering team members from other
technical disciplines.
- Technical writing for engineering documents.
- Conducting site investigations to confirm and document field
conditions.
- Programming control systems (PLC, DCS, and/or DDC).
- Configuring OIT/SCADA systems and field devices including VFDs,
instruments, and OEM devices.Job Requirements:

- Required to complete project requirements from scoping through
design and commissioning.Education and Experience:
- BSEE or equivalent is a plus, but not required with proven
experience.
- 8+ years of experience as an independent
designer/engineer.
- Experience with advanced technology and industrial clients is
preferred.
- Possessing an EIT certification or PE registration is a plus,
but not required.Please identify any relevant skills you might
have, such as AutoCAD or Revit, or electrical system modeling
software such as SKM or EasyPower. Please provide any past work or
volunteer experience in your response, including those that may be
