Job Title:Architect IIILocation:CityScapeWhat you'll do:The
Corporate Solutions Enterprise Architect is accountable for
solution design, architecture strategy and approach for providing
solutions that support our shared services functions (e.g. HR,
Finance, AML/Fraud, Risk Management, Legal & Compliance). This
challenging role requires an ability to understand critical
internal business functions supporting the enterprise & translates
those needs in to designs that develop, orchestrate, and consume
domain specific or enterprise wide capabilities. Additionally,
strong strategic & critical thinking skills, as well as
communication and collaboration skills, are required to develop
relationships with multiple business partners & engineering teams
to enable value add capabilities and services for our business
partners that support our growth trajectory.
- Understands business drivers and business capabilities across
our Corporate Systems domains to provide innovative solutions
leveraging technology to realize business value.
- Develop architecture strategy, roadmap, & architecture designs
for products & services supporting Corporate Systems platforms &
capabilities.
- Develop artifacts, such as standards & patterns, that can be
leveraged to optimize buy vs. build decisions & make best use of
modern technology offerings from SaaS & Public Cloud
providers.
- Understands emerging technology trends and disruptions and the
practical application of existing, new, and emerging technologies
to enable new and evolving business and operating models.
- Translates business and technical requirements into an
architectural blueprint to support & achieve business growth
objectives and documents all solution architecture design and
analysis work.
- Analyzes the technology industry, competitors and market
trends, and determines their potential impact on the enterprise -
both in new product development and cost/capability
optimization.
- Participates in M&A efforts to assess use of cloud
capabilities & develops integration approaches to optimize the
holistic environment & leverage the best IP across the whole of the
business.
- Facilitates the evaluation and selection of software product
standards and services, as well as the design of standard and
custom software configurations.
- Works closely with the Corporate Systems Application
Engineering & Support teams to ensure a robust architectural runway
that can support future business requirements.
- Monitors the current-state solution portfolio to identify
deficiencies through aging of the technologies used by the
application.
- Identifies the organizational impact (for example, on skills,
processes, structures or culture) and financial impact of solution
designs.
- Evangelizes & supports efforts to drive delivery functions
towards Agile & DevOps/FinOps delivery models.What you'll need:
- 15 years of related experience, with 5+ years leading IT
architecture and/or architecting & designing enterprise scale
applications, & 5+ years working in Financial Services
- Have a technology upbringing with strong software development
and design background. Full stack development experience is a
definite plus.
- Knowledge and experience with Cloud technologies; experience
with Azure technologies is preferred.
- Minimum of five years of experience working with an
architecture function with knowledge & experience developing
reference architectures & patterns and supporting governance
functions.
- Deep understanding of strategic and new and emerging technology
trends, and the practical application of existing, new and emerging
technologies to new and evolving business and operating
models.
- Understanding of product management, agile principles, and
development methodologies
- Significant experience developing architecture blueprints,
strategies and roadmaps.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and is able
to develop content for & communicate with Executive Level
stakeholders as well as Engineering & Scrum teams.
- Ability to build trust and respect as a thought leader who can
influence and persuade business and IT leaders and development
teams.
- Objective mindset that is able to think 'enterprise first' and
remain unbiased toward any specific technology or vendor choice,
with decisions made based on data, analysis, & POC results.
- Ability to influence and work effectively in a cross-functional
teams environment.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information-technology,
engineering, system analysis or a related study, or equivalent
experience. Master's degree preferred.Compensation: Salary range
for new hires is generally $181,270.00 - $223,900.00 for Chicago,
IL. Salary amount is determined by specific job location. In
addition, the role may be eligible for annual bonus/incentives
