Job Description:
A company is looking for a General Counsel to serve as the
primary legal advisor and oversee all legal matters.
Key Responsibilities
Create governance policies and procedures to mitigate legal
risks
Draft, review, and negotiate various contracts and agreements
Monitor updates to laws and regulations affecting the
organization
Required Qualifications
J.D. degree from an accredited law school; active bar
membership
5+ years of legal experience, with 3+ years in-house at a
technology, fintech, or energy company
Strong understanding of corporate governance and energy market
regulations
Experience managing external legal counsel and litigation
matters
Ability to navigate complex regulatory landscapes at various
governmental levels
