Database System Administrator to join our team in Tucson, Arizona.

What You Will Do:
- Design, optimize performance, and sustainment of large-scale
Oracle and SQL databases, ensuring their compliance, reliability,
scalability, and efficient response time.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software
engineers and system administrators, to define database
requirements and specifications.
- Mentor and guide Database System -Administrators to ensure the
confidentiality, integrity and availability of IT systems and
applications within their assigned section.
- Experience administering Linux based systems to include
patching, performance tuning, networking, user -management, and
security hardening.
- Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft
Windows and Redhat -Enterprise -Linux -environment.---
- Working as a team member in a -fast-paced -technological
-environment.--- Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve
technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity to
include the integration of hardware and operating systems
(OS).
- Understanding -of data RAID, data backup uses and technologies.
Install and configure software applications requested by end users.
---Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security
requirements and provide documentation and training on advanced IT
processes and procedures and other tasks as assigned.
- Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD)
8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or
equivalent certification) within 6 months of start date.
- Must be able to -develop -solutions -and documentation to a
variety of technical problems.
- Systems are operational 24x7 and occasionally require work
effort beyond standard work hours.
- Travel -required -to other US Domestic locations as business
-needs -dictate up to 10% travel.
- Full time 100% Onsite position Qualifications You Must Have:
- Typically, bachelor's degree and 8+ years of direct system
experience or a master's degree and 5+ years of directly related
experience.
- Must have experience with Database Administration, including
installation, configuration, and maintenance of RDBMS (e.g.,
Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, MSSQL) and SQL scripting.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security
clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is
required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security
clearance
- Experience with Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS)
solutions, such as Oracle, Postgres, or related systems.
- Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Experience in one of the following: Active -Directory, VMware,
MySQL, networking administration experience.
- Experience with -Server architectures. Qualifications We

certification and an Operating System Certification)
- Experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS and/or DoD/RMF
- In-depth working experience in Windows Server
- Experience with improving database query response
performance.
- Experience in optimizing complex Oracle relational databases of
significant size (P 1 Petabytes or larger).
- Experience in developing migration strategies for RDMS systems
and automating database processes.
- Support experience for software engineering teams, including
schema development for microservice applications and database
bottleneck resolution.

RTX. The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD.
The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative
of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when
extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role,
function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work
experience, location, education/training, and key skills. Hired

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as

it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under
these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a
variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual
performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's

structure and benefits will apply. RTX anticipates the application
