• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS.
  • Job Details
  • Specialty in ED Holds/Tele.
    • Job Requirements
    • Minimum 2 years of experience - must be recent, within the past 6 months.
    • Travelers will need to pass a dysrhythmia exam within 48 hours of receiving offer, through RELIAS, only (with 2 MAX attempts).
    • PASS/FAIL SIM LAB on day one of orientation (study guides will be provided with first day instructions.)
    • Must have a strong cardiac tele background, preferably 2 years.
    • Must be able to decrease cardiac drips per physicians' orders and parameters.
    • Nurses will be caring for more tele patients VS medical.
    • Nurses must be able to read & interpret strips.
      • Schedule Information
      • 12 hr shifts (7a - 7p or 7p - 7a).
      • Ability to self-schedule; however, this could change.
      • 4 weekend shifts in a 4 week schedule.
      • Rotate in with the perm staff holiday requirement.
      • No call required.
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Unit/Department specific orientation: 2 shifts orientation to Med/Surg/Tele at primary campus.
          • Additional Details
          • ACLS, BLS required.
          • Nurses will be caring for ED holds waiting for placement on a unit, primarily MS/Tele.
          • May be asked to help with ED patients including vitals, IV starts, and medication administration.
          • Will not be asked to be primary RN for ED patient assignment.
